Your time and financial support makes these programs possible. Here's a look at what Summit Rotary does year-round in Summit County — and beyond.
Community Service
Every Tuesday since 2009, we've served a free, hot meal to anyone in Summit County who needs one. Over 200,000 meals and counting. We also run a plastics recycling campaign (with over 20,000 lbs. diverted from landfills), a free medical equipment lending program, and annual troop support packing events.

Service with a Smile
Adopt an Angel
Each holiday season, we partner with local nonprofits to identify families in need and connect them with community members who purchase gifts for their children. In 2025, we served over 400 families and 700 children with new toys and coats.
Grants & Awards
Each year we award $50,000+ in scholarships to local students for college, and distribute grants to dozens of Summit County nonprofits — from food rescue to youth arts to senior services.
Scholarship Speakers & Awardees
International Service
We support literacy programs in Guatemala, school lunch programs in Panama, skills training in Belize, and disaster relief worldwide through ShelterBox. Service above self doesn't stop at the county line.
Literacy
From Summer Reads for third graders to Reading Buddies in all six county elementary schools, to the Write the Rockies writing contest (with cash prizes for students and adults), we're committed to fostering a reading and writing culture across Summit County.
Wildfire Ready
Living in the mountains means living with wildfire risk. We partner with local fire agencies and Rotary clubs across Colorado to help homeowners create defensible space, build go-bags, and know their evacuation routes before they need them.
Youth Programs
We send local high schoolers and 7th graders to RYLA leadership camp at the YMCA of the Rockies — completely free to students. We also host international exchange students, sponsor youth Interact clubs, and visit Summit Middle School each year to teach ethical decision-making through Rotary's Four-Way Test.
